Bath Midget Football Association is a volunteer organization with no paid staff members.  Our Board of Directors, Coaches, Refreshment Stand Staff, Website Administrators, Team Mom Coordinators and all the behind the scenes personnel spend many hours all year long to make every football season a fun, happy, learning and memorable experience for every child.  Our Association is unique in that every child that signs up to play for Bath gets to play, with a Doctor’s approval.  We do not believe that a child should spend a football season sitting on a bench.  Studies show that children who participate in sports learn to work well in a group setting, respect authority, get better grades in school and increase a child’s self-esteem.  That is our goal each and every year.

All coaches are background checked.  They must pass a PA background check and PA Department of Welfare Child Abuse background check.  A background check is done for each coach every two years.  All our coaches have to be certified to coach by the NYSCA, which is the National Youth Sports Coaches Association.  They are required to sign their Code of Ethics and abide by them.  I have just completed training with the NYSCA for the Lehigh Valley Youth League and am now the Chapter Director and will be conducting clinics for both cheer and football coaches for our league.  Great care is taken so we know who is coaching our kids.

Parents are required to work the snack stand.  The snack stand is our biggest fund raiser.  We have been charging a $25.00 sign-up fee for 20 years.  Youth sports should be affordable to everyone.  It is so important to have parents that  are involved in fundraising so we can continue the tradition.  Parents are required to sign a Parents Code of Ethics and abide by them at practice and games.  98% of our parents are great the other 2% will not be allowed to ruin it for everyone else.
