Bath Lions Meeting: February 11, 2010

Meeting called to order: 7:32

Treasurer’s report: Heather

Secretary’s report: Kyle

Old Business:

LEAGUE NEWS: HEAVIES CAN NOT PUNT, BUT THEY CAN KICKOFF.  THE FLAGS WILL EITHER BE INDIVIDUAL TOURNAMENTS OR THEY WILL FOLLOW THE LEAGUE PLAYOFF SITES.  DAN ROSSINO, THE REFEREE ASSIGNOR, SUGGESTED WE KEEP THE COACHES OFF THE FIELD.  JAN 20TH OF NEXT YEAR AT 8PM IS THE LEAGUE BY LAW MEETING.

HEATHER AND DAVE ASKED ALL WHO ARE INTERESTED IN BOARD POSITIONS TO SAY WHY THEY WOULD LIKE TO BE ON THE BOARD.   MIKE HENNESSEY VOICED HIS INTEREST IN PRESIDENT.  RICH MUTTARELLI VOICED INTEREST IN ANY BOARD POSITION.  KYLE MILLER TALKED ABOUT HIS INTEREST IN BEING SECRETARY.  THE DECISION TO FILL THE PRESIDENT AND SECRETARY POSITIONS IS UP TO HEATHER AND DAVE, BEING THE REMAINING BOARD MEMBERS.  THE POSITION WILL BE FILLED FOR 3 MONTHS AND THEN REOPENED FOR A REGULAR VOTE.  KYLE MILLER WILL BE SECRETARY AND RICH MUTTARELLI WILL BE PRESIDENT.  THEIR WILL BE ANOTHER VOTE IN APRIL, WHICH WILL SEAT THESE TWO POSITIONS FOR THE 2010 SEASON.  HEATHER AND DAVE ARE NOT UP FOR VOTE UNTIL 2011.

New Business: Bobby Joe asks that people get the letter about the basket bingo out to restaurants and businesses. She also asks that we put the letter up on the website.

Dave Doyne asks about the uniforms being returned, we have four football uniforms missing and some cheerleading uniforms missing as well, mike said he would mail out letters concerning the missing uniforms.

The board agrees that the meetings for the rest of the year will be held at the Bath Fire House. The board also suggests creating a fifth board position (Athletic Commissioner).

By-law committee was formed to look over the by-laws and clarify any gray areas.

Committee consists of Rich, Mike Hennessey, Mr. Keenhold, and Heather

By-law committee is scheduled for March 2nd

Heather Saegar Suggests putting a banner in bath to advertise sign-ups

Heather said that she would look for prices on the banners

Nobody put their name in for any coaching positions

Mike Hennessey and Rich Muttalrelli put their names in for president

Kyle Miller has put his name in for Secretary

League News: Lehighton has joined the league, making the league into ten teams. Randy mentioned that the league may split into two divisions. Palmerton pushes the idea of varsity players being ineligible if they turn 13 after September 1st.

In flag tournament play, when in overtime, teams must go for extra point if game is tied after two overtime sessions.
