Bath Lions Meeting:  April 1st, 2010

Mike Hennessy takes floor about proposed amendments

Amendment 5.4.2 Vice President

Shall perform the duties of the president in the absence of the president and be entailed to all prerogatives. Shall assist the President in all duties. In the event the President can not complete his/her term the vice president will take over until a special election can be held. Refer to Art. 7.

Amendment 5.4.3 Secretary

Take minute’s at all regular and special meetings. Record attendance at all regular and special meetings. Notify newspapers of upcoming events and handle all correspondence. Shall preside over the meeting in the absence of the President and Vice President.

Amendment 6.1

Head coaches will be nominated at the October and November meetings. Nominations will be closed at the end of the November meeting. Elections will be held at the December meeting. Current head coaches shall be considered nominated for re-election. Perspective coaches must submit their name to an officer no later than the November meeting. Each term is for two (2) years. There is no limit to terms. A coach may be removed due to resignation or misconduct.

Amendment 7.0 Vacancies

Vacancies among the officers, excluding the President, (ref to 5.4.2) shall be filled by appointment by the remaining officers until a special election. Special election for the remainder of the term, shall be held on the third meeting after the vacancy occurs.

In order to be credited in attending a meeting, a member must physically attend ½ of the meeting or 1 hour of each meeting.

League news:

There will be ten regular season games this year

The league is divided into two divisions (North and South)

Playoffs begin November 6th

Flag tournament is November 6th and 13th

There will be an all-star game the weekend after thanksgiving

Jessica Markham and Cathy agree to join Jeff Keenhold in the snack stand committee

Roger has handouts for the Northampton youth football clinic to give out at sign-ups.

Old Business: Bobbi Jo mentions how the basket bingo is going, she talked about businesses that have sponsored a basket and other businesses she has contacted, also speaks of putting ads in newspapers.

Glen and Carol will consult people from Salisbury about possible monetary deposit on uniforms

Rich Mutterelli will look further into getting the banner for advertising football and cheerleading sign-ups.

Mike Nostrand is taking his name out for the 130 lbs. football head coach position.
